Engineering

At Mediterranean, we have a fully staffed engineering department that works diligently to calculate and design your heating/air conditioning or solar system to your home’s specifications. Without performing engineering for your project, designing your new system is just guesswork………and unfortunately, the majority of today’s contractors don’t engineer. The mathematics and physics of properly heating and cooling your home is a step that cannot be skipped, and our dedication to engineering at Mediterranean has won us awards and acclaim.
“It is very possible for a contractor to install a high efficiency hvac system, or a large solar array and for the customer to only achieve a portion of the efficiency that they purchased and believed that they would be enjoying” remarked Mediterranean engineer Carey Gladhill. “When the paperwork for a new installation hits my desk, I know that I have a very important obligation to the homeowner. We don’t expect for them to understand friction rates, heat transfer, cfm, and load requirements…….that is our job. We protect their investment, and design the system that their home is asking for. Each home tells us what it needs. And this process is what sets us apart from everyone else."
