2011 brought about a newer, freshened-up look for the Mediterranean logo. “Our logo has gone through only a subtle change or two since 1968, and we decided it was time to sort of give the existing logo a new twist”, said Mike Gardner, President of Mediterranean. “When my father first came up with the logo back in the sixties, he named the company Mediterranean because our climate here in Southern California is tropical, and he thought it had a nice ring to it. This year, we incorporated the color of the ocean behind the name, and have a few ribbons of sunlight shining down through the water’s surface. The response has been tremendous. People just love it.” He continued, “Our branding is so well known in this region. People are so used to seeing our trucks on the road, and they know the logo so well……..we just wanted to give it a little zip.”
